Bone Spurs
Bone spurs are generally not dangerous, but they can cause pain and discomfort depending on their location.
- Not inherently harmful: Many people with bone spurs don't even realize they have them
- Can cause symptoms: You may experience pain, swelling, or inflammation if the bone spur presses on nerves
- Associated conditions: Bone spurs on the foot are often linked to conditions like plantar fasciitis, arthritis, or tendonitis
- Rare complications: Untreated bone spurs can lead to mobility issues or worsen related conditions, only in severe cases
Bone spurs typically don't go away on their own and need some type of non-invasive or surgical treatment if severe.
