Stress Fractures
If there is any repetitive motion or activity that puts pressure on your bones, it can cause a stress fracture. Those who participate in playing sports or physical work are more prone to stress fractures.
Decreasing stress fracture risk:
- Never rapidly increase your exercise intensity
- Wear proper shoes
- Ensure adequate calcium and vitamin D intake
- Always warm up and cool down for exercising
- Listen to your body if you feel pain
- Rest and recover between workouts
